News of the Year - ALC Menomonie
Posted 1/2/2020
2019 was another busy year for ALC-Menomonie. With record snowfall to start the year off we thank our dedicated and compassionate employees for ensuring our residents are always taken care of! Here are some highlights from our year:
This past August we celebrated our Annual Family Fun Night where we raffled off backpacks with school supplies, enjoyed games, face painting, and had a great meal. We had record attendance for this event. Our friends from Sunshine Day Care came to visit several times this year. We held a reptile day where the residents and children got to learn and hold snakes and reptiles. In support of community education we sponsored two Lunch and Learns at the Senior Center in Menomonie. Our friends from Sunshine also stopped for a visit on Halloween where they got to show off their costumes and get treats. ALC Menomonie had a successful Fireman’s Chili Cook Off. Our team provided a variety of chili to the city’s emergency response team where they voted on their favorite chili. The winner of the chili cook off this year was our Dietary Director Linda. Our Lights of Love Program took place this December where we honored and remembered our loved ones.
We would also like to highlight Dalva one of our Nurses. Dalva started at ALC as a CNA then made her way to a Med Tech then an LPN and is now an RN. Dalva has a great sense of compassion for caring and dedication to our residents. We appreciate the care that Dalva provides and the hard work she has put in to her work at ALC and to become an RN.
